“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” -- Romans 15:7
We are pleased to have you stay in our home. Angie’s Place was established to honor the memory of our daughter, sister and aunt who passed away on March 30, 2013. Angie was a caring, gentle spirit who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her many friends.
Angie was born with spina bifida on November 13, 1970, and for the next 42 years she spent countless hours in medical facilities treating numerous ailments relating to her medical concerns. Her strength and perseverance were inspirational as she courageously dealt with the struggles relating to her disabilities. Having never walked, she ultimately completed her high school education and moved to Quality Living, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska to live as independently as she could. She demonstrated her compassion for others through her Catholic faith and was very active in her local parish. She enjoyed traveling with her family, attending cultural events with QLI friends, and sharing her daily experiences by phone with those she loved most.
There is no charge to stay at Angie’s Place, giving you the opportunity to focus on your well-being after spending time recovering from treatment or visiting a terminally ill patient or family member receiving hospice care. With this in mind, we ask those who use the property to kindly clean up after themselves, leaving the space ready for the next family to use.
Angie would have loved to welcome you personally, offering a hug to those in need and a warm smile as a source of encouragement as you travel this journey. As we look forward to the day that we are received by Angie as she welcomes us home, we in turn do the same to you as your family seeks comfort and rest at Angie’s Place.
